Wilma Allen Stalvey, 73, of Hahira, died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at Memorial Hospital of Adel after a long illness. She was born in Texas on April 8, 1935 to the late Lloyd Leslie and Gertrude Evelyn Sweeney Allen. Mrs. Stalvey was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Grady L. Stalvey of Hahira, four daughters and two sons in law, Pam Williams of Hahira, Jan and Greg Ferrell of Hahira, Greda Walker of Valdosta, Julie and Sam Henderson of Manor, one son, Gary Stalvey of Hahira, six grandchildren, Christie Bullard (Jody), Courtney Coppage (Paul), Jarrod Carter (Nina), Victor Henderson, Leslie Durgin (Tony) and Laken Stalvey, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Nathan Allen of Brownwood, TX. Mrs. Stalvey is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Angie Holtzclaw, three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 7, 2008 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Wayne Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Saturday at the funeral home.
