Willie Pearl Futch, 78, of Hahira, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Presbyterian Home in Quitman after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 27, 1927 in Hahira to the late Elisha B. Jones Sr. and Eva McLeod Jones. Mrs. Futch worked on the information desk at South GA Medical Center and was a member of Forest Park Church of Christ.
In addition to being preceded in death by her parents she was predeceased by her husband, E. J. Futch, Jr., one son, Burnie Futch and one sister, Carole Johnson. Mrs. Futch is survived by one daughter and son in law, Deidre and Bill Russell of Hahira, one son and daughter in law, Richard and Sandra Futch of Hahira, grandchildren, Mandi and Tommy Kirk of Decatur, Alabama, Braum Russell and Travis Futch of Hahira, great grandchildren, Savannah and Callie Fausz of Decatur, Alabama, two brothers and one sister in law, E. B. and Joyce Jones and Robert Jones of Hahira, two sisters, Eva May Bentley of Brunswick and Helen Zachry of Mobile, Alabama, several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, March 24, 2006 at eleven a. m. at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira with Mr. Carl Walker and Reverend Jim Schappaugh officiating. Burial will follow. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Thursday at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Home in Quitman or to Odyssey Hospice. Condolences to the family may be expressed online at mclanefuneralservices.com.
