Willie Elsie Farris

Willie Elsie Farris, passed away peacefully at her home in Valdosta, on Monday, January 15, 2024. Married to her loving husband, the late Moman Pruitt Farris for 52 years, she was a devoted homemaker. Born in Coalinga, California on July 22, 1938, Willie was the daughter of the late Gurnie Chester Henson and Ora Ophelia Courtney.

At home Willie enjoyed cooking and sewing and watching detective television shows. She loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii.

Survivors are her daughter, Cindy Bonner of Valdosta, son, Michael Farris of Valdosta, grandchildren, Kelly Morris of Ray City, Melissa (Ray) Arnett of Cordele, Staci (Bryan) Corbin of Ray City, Brett (Dianna) Myers of Valdosta, Jordan (Savannah) Ferguson of Oklahoma, Tyler Farris of Oklahoma; 17 great grandsons, 1 great great grandchild; sisters, Louise (Larry) Stutzman of California, Geraldine Burgess of Alabama, Evelyn (Michael) McElroy of California. Willie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, Gene Hanson, Doyle Hanson and sister, Blanch Stevens.
