William “Lloyd” Tyson, 84, of Hahira, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. He was born to the late Etheridge and Dolly Bell Tyson on July 8, 1940, in Hahira, Georgia. Lloyd was a very good man and a very proud Vietnam and Air Force veteran, wearing his Vietnam hat everywhere he went. He was an avid pilot and enjoyed soaring through the skies for over forty years. Lloyd was the oldest of the first cousins of the Mixon and Tyson families and was the most generous person and was respected by all who knew and loved him. He had a very special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lloyd had an infectious sense of humor, was a “jack of all trades,” and could build and repair anything he put his hands on. Lloyd was very family oriented; his love and presence will live on in his family for the years to come.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Marsha Edwards Tyson of Hahira; daughter, Christal McCullough (Tom) of Hahira; grandchildren, Samantha Miley (J.D.), T.J. McCullough (Alexis), Taylor McCullough (Melissa), Cole McCullough, Ethan McCullough and Hunter McCullough; his great grandchildren, Waylon, Paisley, Rayleigh, and Kayleigh Miley; Adalyn and Jake McCullough, Jaxson Moody and Judd McCullough; sisters, Leera Zeigler (Jack) and Elizabeth Tyson; sister-in-law, Linda Tyson; and nieces and nephews, Tim Tyson (Kim), Todd Tyson (Collette), Brandie Fennell, Brian Sumner, Clint Zeigler (Shea), Chance Zeigler (Amanda) and April Tyson; along with several great nieces and nephews.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Etheridge and Dolly Bell Tyson, and his brother, Felton Tyson.
