WILLIAM T. BARCH, 88, of Allentown, PA. died Saturday, February 4, 2006 at Westminster Village in Allentown. Born in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Virgil and Miriam Kerr Barch. He was reared by his stepmother the late Iley Upton Barch. He received his economics degree from Hiram Ohio College in 1941. Mr. Barch trained as meteorologist by the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a meteorologist for U. S. Weather Bureau (N.O. A. A.) for 36 years retiring in 1979. Mr. Barch was a member of the Church of Christ at Whitehall.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Carter Barch of Allentown, PA., son and daughter in law, Richard and Andrea of Virginia Beach, VA., daughter and son in law, Marion and Steven Cherry of Bozeman, MT., grandchildren, Catherine and Adam Baldwin of Kill Devil Hills, NC., Joseph Barch of Virginia Beach, VA. and Gregory Barch of Clemson, SC., brother and sister in law, Dr. John and Helen Barch of Fort Wayne, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents in law, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Carter of Dasher.
