William Lem "Bill" Rowe, 78, of Barney, GA died Monday, May 23, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Valdosta, GA on December 7, 1937 to the late William Lem Rowe, Sr. and Melissa Ann Vickers Rowe. Mr. Bill Rowe served in the United States Army, was a farmer and an acoustical ceiling contractor. He was a member of Morrison Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a Gideon. Mr. Rowe had a passion for doing mission work. He made many construction mission trips with Pauline Baptist Church. He loved hunting (especially deer) and fishing. He was an avid Braves fan and did not want anyone talking bad about them.
Mr. Rowe is survived by his wife, Sharon Rowe of Barney, his children and their spouses, Margaret Rowe Mahan (Jason) of Adel, David Rowe (Linda) of Kennesaw, Karla Howell (Doug) of Moultrie, Tonya Parrish of Barney, six grandchildren, Ryan Schofill (Jessica), Crystal Schofill (Ray Hunt), Olivia Rowe, Davis Howell, Kelliann Howell and Will Parrish and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016 at three p. m. at Morrison Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Slaven and Reverend Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Morrison Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Wednesday at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira.
