William Kenneth "Bill" York

William Kenneth York (Bill-Daddy-Papa), 62 of Hahira, GA passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. He was born on November 28, 1955 in Albany, Georgia to the late James O. and Melba Young York.
Bill was survived by his wife Margaret York, daughters and sons in law, Kristie and Lawrence Wiggins and Kassie and Jacob Dasher; grandchildren Jackson Wiggins, Jonathan Wiggins, Conly Dasher and Aimee Dasher; brother and sister in law, Jay and Kim York, sisters and brother in law, Peggy and Spike Spiker, Jeanie Carter-Marks; several beloved other family members; countless loved friends, disciples, and a “super-bud” Gary West.
Bill worked tirelessly to support his family at Waller Heating and Air, and faithfully served his King Jesus through various ministries including Kairos Prison Ministries, The Walk to Emmaus, and through constant acts of love and service to all he met. Bill also joyfully lead services and ministered as lay-pastor of the Naylor United Methodist Church. He was an avid Lowndes High Viking Football Fan.
Visitation is on Wednesday January 31, 2018 at Martin/McLane Funeral Home in Hahira Ga from 5-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Hahira United Methodist Church. Graveside will follow at Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery. In Iieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Hahira United Methodist Church’s L.U.K.E. Fund A designated fund conceived to confirm our LOVE for our fellow Christians, Unfailing compassion, Kindness, and Enduring Support, created for Bill in September of 2000 to help families in need.
