William Joseph (Billy) Myers

William Joseph (Billy) Myers, 69, of Barney, GA died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at South GA Medical Center. He was born on April 4, 1947 in Albany, NY to the late Walter Robert Myers, Sr. and Theresa Spangenburg Myers. Billy was a retired medical technologist at Smith Northview Hospital, a United States Air Force veteran and a member of the Catholic faith. He was former chief engineer of maintenance at Sailfish Point in Stuart, FL and a medical lab technician in Florida and Georgia.
Billy was the cherished husband of Joan B. Myers for forty six years. He was the beloved father of Justine D. Myers and Jocelyn Myers Williams (Scot), the adored Pop Pop of granddaughters, Eimile Williams and Aislin Williams. Billy was the beloved brother of the late Bea Luman, Walter Myers, Jr., Bruce Myers, Barbara Myers and Bryan Myers. He will also be greatly missed by brothers in law and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, Doodle and Jennifer.
The family will receive friends at the Martin McLane Funeral Home, 401 South Church Street, Hahira, GA on Friday, June 24, 2016 from six until eight p. m. A visitation will also be held Monday, June 27, 2016 from nine a.m. until eleven a. m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL. A graveside funeral service with military honors and burial will follow. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to The American Society For The Prevention Of Cruelty To Animals.
