William F. Stripling, Jr.

William (Billy) Stripling, Jr., 49, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He was born on December 14, 1960 and raised in Hahira. Billy was retired from the vending business and loved his work, making many friends all over South Georgia and North Florida in the course of his work.

He is survived by his former wife, Sherry Lewis Stripling of Adel and their three sons, William III (Bill) and Rebecca Stripling of Lake Park, Christopher and Heather Stripling of Valdosta and Sean Stripling of Adel, his parents, William F. (Bill), Sr. and Rachel Futch Stripling of Hahira, three grandchildren, Caleb Stripling, Jacob Stripling and Avery Stripling, one brother and sister in law, Richard and Linda Stripling and one sister and brother in law, Judy and Calvin Williams of Hahira.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at ten a. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Wayne Boykin officiating. Burial will follow in Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berlin, GA. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Indigent Care of Georgia residents.
