William Donald (Don) Galloway

WILLIAM DONALD (DON) GALLOWAY, 58, of Lake Park passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was a devoted husband and a deeply loving father, brother and son. He was born on October 13, 1947 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Vernell and the late Reo Galloway. He attended Ponce De Leon High School in Ponce De Leon, Florida before graduating from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. After college he became the proud owner of Don’s Boats and Motors in Valdosta, Don’s Boats and Motors in Tallahassee, Florida and Bellflower Marine in Tallahassee, Florida. Don enjoyed relaxing on the lake while fishing, watching the races every Sunday and spending his time laughing with his family and friends. He will be remembered for the love he gave his family and his generous and kind spirit and missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Sharon Galloway of Lake Park, their two sons, Stephen Galloway and Ben Galloway both of Lake Park, his mother, Vernell Galloway of Westville, Fla., his four sisters and brothers in law, Hilda and Jim Spears of Bartow, Fla., Peggy and Greg Ross of Geneva, Ala., Sandra and Tommy Earnhart of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Miranda and Michael Horrell of Overland Park, KS. as well as numerous nieces and nephews, sister in law, Cecelia Glaser of Sacramento, Calif., brother in law, Ken Anderson of Panama City, Fla. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nan (Warren) Beck of Geneva, Ala.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, May 15, 2006 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens.
