William David Morris

William David Morris, 61 of Valdosta died at his home on Monday, December 11, 2006 after a lengthy illness. He was born on January 11, 1945 in Talladega, AL. Mr. Morris worked for the Georgia Department of Corrections in the Food Service Department. He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Vietnam and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Michael David and Sherry Morris of Moultrie, Joshua Dale Morris of Valdosta; daughter and son-in-law, April Dawn & Duane Utter of Valdosta; seven grandchildren; mother, Ollie Louise Harris of Tuscaloosa, AL; brothers, Claude Morris and John Morris both of Hartselle, AL, Billy Mac Morris of Tuscaloosa, AL; sister, JoAnn Reese of Montgomery, AL and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Ann Morris and his father, William D. Morris.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2006 at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens with Reverend Bob Willis officiating.
