William David Moore, Jr.

William (David) Moore, Jr., 58, of Valdosta, passed away suddenly at South Georgia Medical Center on Saturday, May 2, 2015, after a lengthy illness.

He was born April 13, 1957 in Valdosta. David had a strong faith in God and life; he loved life, people and everybody loved him. He greatly cherished his family, was a kind loving man, and never met a stranger. He lived most of his adult life in Valdosta, started in roofing and went into General Contracting until his retirement.

He is survived by four children, Justin Ross Moore of Valdosta, Jessica Grace Carver and husband Shannon of Clyattville, William David Moore III and Neal Moore, both of Georgia; three grandchildren, Gage Russell Jernigan, Cameron Cross Carver and Grayson Dee Carver; three sisters, Margo Bennett Shannon of Jacksonville, FL, Billie Dean Moore Smith and husband Paul of Valdosta, and Elaine Moore Williams and husband Mike of Savannah; three brothers, Gary Anthony Moore of Jacksonville, FL, Michael Flynn Moore of Orlando, FL, and Glenn Ross Moore and wife Tina of Valdosta; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William David Moore, Sr. and Meardeen Newell Moore.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Moore will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2015, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. Interment will follow at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
