William Dane Gilliland

William Dane Gilliland, 23, of Valdosta died on Monday, May 22, 2017 in Moultrie, Georgia. He was born in Valdosta on July 30, 1993, and was employed with Rountree Construction Company. Dane was a Christian who loved his wife, daughter and family with all his heart. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan and was a person full of life. Dane was loved by everyone who knew him and was a courteous, kindhearted, gentle soul who lit up a room with his smile. He was a wonderful uncle to his niece and nephew.
Survivors include his wife, Danielle Gilliland; his daughter, Natalie Gilliland both of Valdosta; his mother, Rebecca Gilliland of Hahira; his brother, Mark Gilliland of Daytona, FL; his sister, Olivia Gilliland and his nephew, Benjamin Pope son of Olivia both of Hahira; his grandmothers, Patricia Gilliland of Austell, GA and Anne Williamson of Lakeland, GA; parents-in-law, Larry and Debbie Sipes of Tucker, GA; sisters in law, Emily Sipes of Duluth, GA and Kayla Sipes of Tucker, GA and a niece, Braelyn Sipes; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Mark M. Gilliland.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Friday, May 26, 2017 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. James B. Easler officiating. Burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
