William Clayton Brown

William C. Brown, 59, of Valdosta died, Thursday, August 13, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on August 16, 1949 in El Paso, Texas to the late Cecil and Marie Brown and moved to Brookville, Florida. Mr. Brown graduated high school and joined the Army and was a part of the military police force. He was honorably discharged on November 1, 1975. William and Gertrude were married in 2002 and he was a Methodist.

He leaves to lament his passing, a loving and devoted wife, Gertrude Brown of Valdosta, stepson, Daniel Edwards and a brother in law, Dave Edwards and a host of many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10am, Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Carson McLane Funeral Home with burial to follow at 2pm in Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fla.
