Wilburn Harold Wright, Sr.

Wilburn Harold Wright, Sr., 76, of Valdosta died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Heritage Healthcare at Crestwood Nursing Home. He was born on July 24, 1934 in Brooks County to the late John Henry and Fannie Lou Smith Wright and was a lifelong resident of Valdosta. Mr. Wright had been a resident of the Ashley House for the past thirteen years and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He was a graduate of Naylor High School and loved sports.

Survivors include his three children and their spouses, Teresa and Roger Merchant of Morton, MS., Harold and Ronda Wright, Lori and Kevin Langford all of Brandon, MS., six grandchildren, Ryan Merchant, Daniel Merchant, Nicole Wright, Jeffery Wright, Jayce Wright and Austin Langford, two great grandchildren, Nilee Moseley and Jayden Wright, one sister and brother in law, Jerre and Charles Barden of Valdosta, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Wright.

Graveside services will be held at 3pm, Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Rev. Charles Barden officiating.
