Wesley Cothren

Wesley Cothren, 90, of Valdosta, died at South Georgia Medical Center on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 after a brief illness. Born in Coffee County, Georgia, on April 9, 1916, he was the son of the late Dave and Mattie Hayes Cothren. Mr. Cothren was a farmer and was retired from Prinsho Products. He was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Irene Bryan Cothren of Valdosta; a great nephew, Malcolm Pittman of Valdosta; a niece, Joyce Peacock of Eastman; special friends, Marion and Olline Coombs of Valdosta, Richard and Joyce Williams of Valdosta.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007, at Sunset Hill Cemetery. Reverend Earl Ridley, Reverend Rick Williams, Reverend Arthur Knight, and Reverend Bill Lewis will officiate.
