Wendy Turek

WENDY TUREK, 70, of Valdosta died Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born on January 16, 1937 in New York City, New York to the late Lynne A. and Denny Underwood Warren and had lived in this area since 1992. Mrs. Turek was an active member of the Grace Bible Church and had served as a hospital volunteer for many years.

Survivors include her husband, James J. Turek of Valdosta, her children and their spouses, Jim Turek of Hillsborough, NJ., Ruth and David Shanley of Newtown, CT., Don and Maria Turek of Coral Springs, Fla., Greg and Samira Turek of Brooklyn, NY., sister and brother in law, Andrea and Jimmy LaValley of Hahira, 8-grandchildren, Jason and Ashley Turek, Ryan, Liam and Kieran Shanley, Paul, Nicole and Brandon Turek.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, December 15, 2007 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Hofmeister officiating. Burial will be held at later date in Hillsborough, New Jersey. The family will receive friends on Friday from 7-8:30pm at the funeral home.
