Wendell Bradley Singletary, Sr., 56, a lifelong resident of Valdosta, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at his residence. He was born on August 18, 1961 to the late Norman Morris and Ila V. Daniels Singletary. Wendell was a member of Remerton Methodist Church. He worked with ham radios, and collected guns, old records, and antiques. He loved muscle cars, and enjoyed shopping at Goodwill, always searching for treasures. He enjoyed the beach, where he liked to catch crabs at night. He loved spending time with his family and was crazy about his granddaughter. He would give you the shirt off his back and loved helping others. Wendell had a wonderful sense of humor and could make you believe anything. He was nicknamed the Joker and loved to make others laugh.
Wendell is survived by his wife Crystal Lynn Singletary, of Valdosta, his son Wendell Bradley Singletary, Jr. (Alyssa Redding) of Brunswick, his daughters, Suzanne Brooke Singletary, of Michigan, Macy Dakota Youngblood, and Cali Jordon Youngblood, both of Valdosta, his granddaughter Madelyn Christina Corrao, of Valdosta, two brothers Phillip (Carol) Singletary, of Valdosta, and Norman Craig Singletary, of Savannah, his half brothers Raymond (Madge) Allen, of Texas, and Charles Allen, of Oklahoma, his half sister Mary Cagle of Oklahoma, two sisters Sheila Elaine Longbreak, and Sybil Jean (Bob) Pridgen, both of Valdosta, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
