Wayne Hardy

Richard “Wayne” Hardy, 60, of Hahira, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on November 9, 1963, in Colorado Springs, CO, to Mary Jean Tucker Hardy and the late Kenneth E. Hardy, Sr. As a self-employed handyman, he was kind, driven, creative and always willing to help. He was the “MacGyver of Everything.” Wayne loved his family, especially his children, and his “Peoples.” He was a Christ follower, and an avid Tennessee Volunteer Fan, “Go Vols!”

Wayne is survived by his daughter, Olivia Renee Hardy, of Columbia, SC, stepson Matthew Browder, of Idaho, brother Kenneth E. Hardy Jr., of Florida, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and Mike Whelan, of Waycross, GA, sister, Kathleen Hardy-Cothern, of Hahira, and his mother Jean Hardy. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Wayne will be held at 4pm on Saturday, August 31, 2024, in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Condolences to the family may be shared at www.mclanecares.com
