Warren Ray Foster

Warren Ray Foster, 75, of Valdosta, died Friday, January 27, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Hillsboro, Texas on November 23, 1930 to the late Charles Maxwell and Minnie Ola Jennings Foster. Mr. Foster was an accountant with Amoco Oil for thirty two years in both Texas and Oklahoma, served in the United States Air Force during the Korean era, was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, graduated from Baylor University, was a soup kitchen volunteer, a member of Alcoholic’s Annonymous and The American Legion. He loved to fish and garden. Mr. Foster is formerly of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Hillsboro, Texas and has lived in Valdosta for the past fifteen years.

He is survived by his wife of fifty one years, Cindy Foster of Valdosta, two daughters, Nancy Smyrl of Valdosta and Nora Foster of Atlanta, two sons and one daughter in law, Bryan Foster of Wichita Falls, Texas and Ryan and Estrella Foster of Houston, Texas, grandchildren, Meghann Smyrl Zastrow and her husband Tim of Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, Luisa Foster of Houston, Texas, three brothers and sisters in law, Charles and Joy Foster of Lawton, Oklahoma, Jerry and Sue Foster of Hillsboro, Texas, Terry Foster of Garland, Texas, two sisters and one brother in law, Maxine Attebery of Garland, Texas, Elizabeth and Charles Cypert of Eden, Texas, one sister in law and brother in law, Beverly and Blake Coombs of Valdosta, numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Foster is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Aubry Foster and Kenneth Foster, both retired United States Air Force.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at eleven a. m. at Christ Episcopal Church with Father Peter Ingeman and Reverend Lee Shafer officiating. His cremains will be buried in the Christ Episcopal Church Urn Garden following the services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Pearlman Cancer Center or to Hospice of South Georgia.
