Warren M. Pritchett

WARREN MERRIMAN PRITCHETT, 81, of Quitman departed from this earthly life on October 16, 2006 at the Brooks County Hospital in Quitman. He was born on December 2, 1923 in Elberton, Georgia and was the son of the late William Arthur Pritchett and Caroline Merriman Pritchett. He was raised in the Atlanta area with his eight brothers and sisters and was a veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam where during his Vietnam service he was awarded the distinguished Flying Cross for his meritorious service. He was a faithful lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he gave everyone great enjoyment from his beautiful singing voice.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Corliss Maxine Ball Pritchett and is survived by his six children and their spouses, David B. Pritchett, Joseph W. Pritchett both of Quitman, Rhonda S. and Gordon Walker of Valdosta, Jonathan W. Pritchett of Quitman, Karen L. and Glenn Sullivan, Elizabeth C. and Steve Willis all of Millbrook, Ala., 11-grandchildren, 21-great grandchildren, two sisters, Jane Balleck of Colorado and Patricia Milstead of Ohio, one sister in law and two brothers in law, A. D. Ball of Quitman, Elizabeth and Clyde Harden of Boston, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Quitman.
