Walter Walker (Bo) Carroll, II, 61, of Valdosta, died on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born in Valdosta on March 25, 1948 to the late James and Frances Garbutt Carroll. He was an active member of the Park Avenue United Methodist Church where he served on many boards and committees. He was a graduate of the University of Georgia and worked with his father and brother in Sunset Farm Foods until he decided to follow his first love and entered the real estate business as a broker with Coldwell Banker. He was a Director of Park Avenue Bank since 1989 and also served as banking officer for business development for three years. He was owner and broker of Carroll Development. Bo loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding his tractor and escaping to his farm in Hamilton County. Above all, there was nothing he enjoyed more than being with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Shirlee Sainz Carroll; a daughter, Maggie Carroll and her fianc� Michael Ferguson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Jenny Carroll, Austen and Holly Carroll; two grandchildren, Libby Carroll and Haisten Carroll all of Valdosta; two sisters, Sugie Catikos of Valdosta and Ann Edwards of Ocala, Florida; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Ingrid Carroll of Lake Park; parents-in-law, Norman and Louise Sainz of Valdosta; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Stephen Sainz of Valdosta, Norman Sainz, Jr. of Lake Park, Scott and Jeannie Sainz of Richmond Hill, Ga.; sister-in-law, Susan Giddens of Valdosta, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services for Walter Walker (Bo) Carroll, II will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at the Park Avenue United Methodist Church with Rev. Willie Beasley and Rev. V.L. Daughtery officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Donations may be made to LAMP or the trust fund for Jason Grady at Park Avenue Bank through Leanne Balanis. Condolences to the family may be conveyed online at www.mclanefuneralservices.com.
