Wallace Pardee Goodloe, Jr., 82, died Sunday, February 4, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born in Valdosta on May 9, 1935 to the late Wallace Pardee Goodloe, Sr. and Eva Butler Goodloe. He graduated from Valdosta High School in 1953. Pardee was an Army veteran, member of GA National Guard and proudly served his country. He was retired from Miller Hardware. As a boy and young man, he enjoyed playing sports, and as he grew older, he enjoyed watching other folks participate. He always looked forward to warm weather, so he could sit on his swing or on his back porch watching birds and wildlife. Over the years he sent many cards to family and friends. He was a member of the Welcome Hill Church of Christ and loved his church family dearly.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy Goodloe of Valdosta; son and his buddy, Wally Goodloe of Valdosta; daughter, who was Daddy's girl, and son in law, Diane and Barry Johnson of Wylie, TX; precious grandchildren, Annalee Johnson, Jaelyn Johnson, and Tysen Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Jerry Murray of Columbus, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Phyllis Becton of Kissimmee, FL; and special friends, George and Ruth Smith of Valdosta.
Graveside services will be held at at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Welcome Hill Cemetery on Troupeville Rd. in Brooks County with Mr. Jerry Herring and Mr. Shane Copeland will officiate.
