Wade Hill Renn

Wade Hill Renn, M.D., 80, of Jennings, Florida, passed away on February 18, 2021. Born in Henderson, North Carolina, he was the son of the late James Allen Renn and Onnie Stevenson Renn. Wade graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1964. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree in 1969 from the University of Florida. He did his internship at Shand’s Teaching Hospital in Gainesville, Florida and completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Shand’s in 1974. He served as Chief Resident his last two years of residency. Dr. Renn began his private practice in Neurosurgery in Valdosta in 1974 until his retirement in 1992. He enjoyed fishing, time spent with his family, his pine tree farm and he was an Atlanta Braves fan. Dr. Renn attended Benevolence Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jacqueline Renee Hardee Renn of Jennings, Florida; daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Eric Munson of Helendale, California, Donna “Cindy” and Monte Johnson of Douglasville, Georgia, sons and a daughter-in-law, Wade H. II and Amy Renn of Candler, North Carolina, Allen F. Renn of Jennings, Florida; grandchildren, Frederick A. Stephenson, III, Jessere (Jon Mason) Stephenson, Rebecca (Robert Lucero) Bass, Chandler (Whitley) Johnson, Mady Munson, Clark Johnson, Renn (A.J.) Harbin, Adamm Munson, Matt Rowley, twelve great grandchildren; a sister, Jane Renn (Harold) Frazier of Henderson, North Carolina; many nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Ferman A. Hardee, two sisters-in-law, Tara H. (Keith) Goble and Debra H. Hall; former wife, Jewell E. Bulloch of Sioux City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Willard (Dorothy) Renn, Wayne Renn; his mother-in-law, Carolyn Hardee and a brother-in-law, Harry Hall.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Fellowship Home, Brookside, for the loving care provided to Dr. Renn.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, a private family service and interment will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021. Condolences to the family may be conveyed at www.mclanecares.com. Carson McLane Funeral Home is serving the family of Dr. Renn.
