Wade Henry Paulk, Jr.

WADE HENRY PAULK, JR. 41, of Valdosta died Thursday, October 19, 2006 in Brooks County of an apparent heart attack. He was born on April 5, 1965 in Starke, Fla. to Lois Faye Johnson Paulk and the late Wade Henry Paulk, Sr. and had lived in Starke, Florida and Jesup, Georgia before moving to Valdosta in 1983. Mr. Paulk was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jesup and was produce manager for Harvey’s Supermarkets. He loved to fish, play ball and watch the races.

Survivors include his mother, Faye Paulk of Valdosta, two sisters and brothers in law, Terri and Steve Bennett of Jesup, Donna and Craig Hawkins of Valdosta, a niece and her husband, Kristin and Max Linder of Jesup, nephew, Cale Bennett of Jesup, aunts and uncles, Tammie and David Woodard, Johnnie and Melba Johnson all of Starke, Fla., cousins, Dustin Woodard, Shane Johnson, Jason Johnson and Robbie Hicks, his dog, Sporty, also his faithful companion. He was preceded in death by his father, Wade H. Paulk, Sr., his paternal grandparents, Henry Lee Paulk and Eula Mae Paulk Hattaway, maternal grandparents, Winslow and Frances Johnson and an aunt, Joyce Hicks.

Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Sunday, October 22, 2006 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Willis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service on Sunday until 6pm. Graveside services will be held at 11am, Monday, October 23, 2006 at the Jesup Cemetery in Jesup, Georgia.
