Vonnie Mullinax Geiger

Vonnie Mullinax Geiger, 75, of Valdosta died Wednesday, August 6, 2015 at her home. She was born in Tifton, Georgia on February 29, 1940 to the late Henry and Lucille Cagle. Mrs. Geiger was a nurse with South Georgia Medical Center having retired in 1995. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cross stitching and flowers. She lived in Seneca, South Carolina from 1995-2013 and then returned to Valdosta.
Survivors include her son, Jeff Gilmore; her grandchildren, Eli Gilmore, Alex Gilmore and Mikayle Foster all of Valdosta; stepdaughter, Susan Geiger of Guffy, CO; two sisters, Catherine Colson Corbett of Valdosta and Mona Roberts of Daytona, FL; her brother, Melvin Cagle of Bainbridge, GA; two special caregivers, Patricia Fiffie and Mary Frances Bryant both of Valdosta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Geiger.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, August 10, 2015 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Nick Kudyk and Chaplain Jimmy Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 2-4pm at the funeral home.
