Vondelle P. Mckenzie

Vondelle P. McKenzie, 94, of Barney died at her residence on Tuesday, November 22, 2011. She was born in Donaldsonville, Georgia to the late Jessie and Adel Ridlehoover Prater and has been a resident of this area for most of her life. She was a retired postmaster for the Barney Post Office and was a peach, blueberry, grape and pecan grower. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Gale McKenzie of Vinings, Georgia and extended family Darren "Hoss" and Phyllis Yearby of Adel, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband M.T. McKenzie.
