Vivian W. Dallas

Vivian W. Dallas, 81, of Valdosta died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Fellowship Home. She was born on May 24, 1931 in Waycross to the late John Melton Welch and Annie Kemp Welch. Mrs. Dallas was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church. She was an avid bridge player, enjoyed cooking and raising her three sons. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and gardening. Mrs. Dallas was a good hostess.
She is survived by two sons and three daughters in law, Gary and Linda Dallas of Nashville, TN, Scott and Brenda Dallas and Kathy Dallas of Valdosta, eight grandchildren, Rett Dallas (Kim) of Bowling Green, KY, Kristen Summers (Josh) of McKinney, TX, Andrea Sale (Michael) of Valdosta, Lauren Williams (David) of Dewitt, Iowa, Tyler Dallas, Arrica Dallas, Sydney Dallas and Savannah Dallas of Valdosta, six great grandchildren, Carder Dallas, Aby Dallas, Cooper Summers, Hadley Summers, Jayden Sale and Hallie Sale, two sisters and one brother in law, Velma W. Rodgers of Macon and Evelyn W. and Julian Norman of Valdosta. Mrs. Dallas is preceded in death by her husband, George E. Dallas and her son, Frank Dallas, three sisters, Annie Ruth Welch, Ouida W. Lee and Elizabeth W. Russell, five brothers, James H. Welch, John J. Welch, W. Amos Welch, Jack M. Welch and Raymond I. Welch.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 23, 2012 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Reverend Chris Michael officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from five until seven p. m. Saturday at the funeral home.
