Vivian Virginia Carter

Vivian Virginia Carter, 85, of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at Langdale Hospice House after a short illness. Born in Hamilton County, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Chester A. and Essie Bullard Sweat. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Carter Oettmeier of Griffin, Eileen Carter of Valdosta, Martha and Dan Hale of Fargo, Gail McDaniel of Valdosta; eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Carter and her brother, Douglas Sweat.
