VIRGINIA TYLER LEWIS, 79, of Hahira died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Smith Northview Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 21, 1925 in Hahira to the late Gordon C. and Minnie Lee Weldon Tyler. Mrs. Lewis and her husband owned and operated Lewis Grocery Store in Hahira for several years and was a member of the Hahira First Baptist Church. She loved life, her family and fishing.

Survivors include a daughter, Jerri Rollins Russ of Hahira, a son, Mike Lewis of Hahira, four grandchildren and their spouses, Kim Titone, Alan Clendenin, Christie and John Gombar, Ray and Coleen Lewis, eleven great grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna, Brynn, Trey, Austin, Ashley, John, Shyanne, Seanna, Hunter and Skyler, three sisters and a brother in law, Verna Glass, Fron Johnson and Sylvia and James Parker all of Hahira, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lewis and a brother, Dan Tyler.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm, Sunday, May 8, 2005 in the chapel of Martin/McLane Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.
