Virginia P. Elliott

Virginia P. Elliott, 69, of Morven, died Monday, January 19, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Cook County on October 16, 1939 to the late William Clarence and Mary Alice Wainwright Parker. Mrs. Elliott was a retired seamstress from Levi's, was of the Nazarene faith, a member of the Women's Club of Valdosta, a community involvement team member and a volunteer firefighter with the Morven-North Brooks Fire Department.

She is survived by one daughter, Darlene Robertson of Morven, one son and daughter in law, Kenneth and Lynn Elliott of Morven, three grandsons, John C. Elliott and his wife, Vicky, Brian K. Elliott and Jeffery K. Elliott, two great grandsons, Dominic Barros and J. C. Elliott, Jr., one sister, Eloise Pope of Meansville, GA, several sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Elliott is preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Elliott, one great granddaughter, Jaci Elliott, her son in law, George Robertson, several sisters in law and brothers in law.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 23, 2009 at two p. m. in the chapel of the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Charlie Scarborough officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Thursday at the funeral home.
