Virginia H. Bryant

Virginia H. Bryant, 81, of Valdosta, passed from this life on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The daughter of the late William Harris and Ella Mae Gray Harris, Virginia was born on March 15, 1943, in Ft. Valley, Peach County, Georgia. She was an educator and a guidance counselor for 29 years with Valdosta and Lowndes school systems, retiring in 1996. A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc, Virginia was married for 59 years to her husband Charles Bryant, Sr. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she loved her family dearly. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, was an avid fan of tennis and golf, and particularly enjoyed following the careers of Tiger Woods, Coco Gauff, and the Williams sisters.

Mrs. Bryant is survived by her daughter, Sharedia Bryant of Valdosta; son, Charles Bryant (Tracy) of Gainesville, Florida, grandchild, Kayla Illidge of Gainesville, Florida; great grandchildren, Naomi Illidge, and Emery Woods Sims; sister, Anne Jackson (Andrew) of Tampa, Florida. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband.
