Vicky Lynn Allen

Vicky Lynn Allen, 55, of Houston passed away Monday, June 20, 2016. Vicky was born March 5, 1961 in Valdosta, Georgia to Jessie and Fairlene Allen. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jessie Allen III. Vicky is survived by her children, Michelle and Hunter Ortiz of Houston, TX; siblings, Linda Wilson of Houston, TX, Joyce Dixon (late Thomas) of Valdosta, GA, Billie Cain (Bruce) of Hahira, GA, Peggy Breazeale of Valdosta, GA, Earl Breazeale of Valdosta, GA, Debbie Allen wife of late Jessie Allen III of Lake Park, GA, Ricky Allen (Sherry) of Winter Haven, FL, Stevie Allen (Samantha) of Adel, GA as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Vicky grew up in Valdosta, Georgia and lived most of her life in Houston, Texas. She owned a day care center for children for over 10 years in her home. She loved her work and truly enjoyed taking care of the children, treating them as if they were her very own. Vicky enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a very strong woman with a wonderful sense of humor and an abiding love for her children, extended family, and friends. She was loved by those who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, June 27, 2016 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Allen officiating. Burial will follow in the McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
