Vickie L. Black

Vickie L. Black, 58, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021. She was born in Valdosta on March 4, 1963 to the late Troy L. and Doris B. Black. Vickie was a lifelong resident of this area and was a graduate of Lowndes High School. She obeyed the gospel at an early age and was a member of the church of Christ. Trained as a fine jeweler many years ago, she worked in this field for a time, creating unique and exquisite pieces of jewelry. In her teens and early twenties, she modeled for local clothing store advertisements. She loved all animals, especially horses.
Vickie is survived by her son, Kyle Black of Valdosta, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Karen Black of Lake Park, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Charles Bentley of Warner Robins, GA; nephews, Cole Bentley of Warner Robins, GA; Keaton (Rachel) Bentley of Warner Robins, GA; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her dearly.
She will be laid to peaceful rest at 5pm on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Dasher Cemetery in Valdosta, GA. There will not be a formal visitation and please observe social distancing.
