Vera S. Tomlinson

Vera S. Tomlinson, 83 of Valdosta, died on Saturday, April 29, 2006 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Born on May 30, 1922 in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Auguasta Reich Solomonickoff. She was a retired Claims Examiner for Moody Air Force Base and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a lifetime member of the Valdosta Lowndes County Historical Society.

Mrs. Tomlinson is survived by her husband, Dr. John F. Tomlinson, Jr. of Valdosta; son, John F. Tomlinson III of Valdosta; daughter, Kimberly R. Huff of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Melanie Tomlinson of Kennesaw; three grandchildren, Alexandra Tomlinson, Aaron Tomlinson and Cole Tomlinson all of Kennesaw.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Sunset Hill Cemetery with Pastor Mark Piotrowski officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service starting at 3 p.m..
