Vastine Arrington Herndon

VASTINE ARRINGTON HERNDON, 83, of Valdosta died Wednesday March 5, 2008 at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born in Lake Wales, Florida on March 8, 1924 to the late Johnny and Annie Bagley Arrington and had lived in Valdosta most of her life. Mrs. Herndon was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Wiley F. Herndon of Valdosta, son and daughter in law, John W. and Kathy Herndon, daughters and sons in law, Linda and Raymond Copeland, Cindy and Greg Powell all of Valdosta, four grandchildren, Angie Copeland Powell, Chad Herndon, Brad Herndon and Greg Powell, great grandchildren, Thomas Powell and Cara Powell. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny Arrington, Jim Arrington and Lindy Arrington.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm, Saturday, March 8, 2008 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with the Rev. Lewis Metts officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
