Valerie Quinn Fisher, 32, of Valdosta, died at her home on Sunday, March 11, 2007. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on February 13, 1975, she was the daughter of Richard Troy and Gwendolyn Ann Lowrance Quinn. An Alumni of Berry College in Rome and Valdosta State University, Valerie had done her graduate work at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She was a Sister in Sigma Alpha Iota, a member of the National Honor Society, and a member of the Valdosta Theater Guild. She was formerly a piano accompanist and a voice teacher at Valdosta State Univeristy. Valerie was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a Chancel Choir member.
Survivors are her husband, Jason Allan Fisher of Valdosta; her twin sons, Seth McKinnon Fisher and Colin Wesley Fisher of Valdosta; her parents, Richard and Gwen Quinn of Douglasville, her brothers and sisters in law, Rick and Karla Quinn of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, Jeff and Julie Quinn of Douglasville, her sister, Ms. Katie Quinn of Norwood, Massachusetts, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lowrance, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Quinn of Chattanooga, Tennessee, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and fellow members of Christ’s Kingdom.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 18, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Valerie Quinn Fisher Memorial Trust for Educational Benefit of Seth and Colin Fisher @ PO Box 725406 Atlanta, Georgia 31139-2406.
