Ursula Doris Waller, 75, of Valdosta, died Sunday, September 1, 2013 at Gentiva Hospice Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. She was born on December 7, 1937 in Kehl, Germany to the late Arnold and Gertrud Koelmel Mannherz. Mrs. Waller was a retired Para Pro from the Lowndes County School System, a member of Bemiss United Methodist Church where she also worked as an Administrative Assistant and volunteered with the children's ministry and worked in various other areas. She volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Pearlman Cancer Center and South Georgia Medical Center. In her younger years she was a nurses aide in Basel, Switzerland.
Mrs. Waller is survived by three sons and daughters in law, Michael and Fay Waller of Adel, Ralph and Kendall Waller of Peachtree City and Danny and Beth Waller of Valdosta, seven grandchildren, Chris Waller (Jamie), Lisa Tucker (Dusty), Jessica Knight (David), Hailey Waller, Joshua Waller, Amber Waller and Katie Waller, seven great grandchildren, Joseph Choma, Ellie Mae Waller, Allie Tucker, Lathan Tucker, Ace Tucker, Finn Tucker and Jaxon Knight, one sister and brother in law, Edda Brunhilde and Manfred Kenngott of Kehl, Germany. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rex Vernon Waller and one brother, Guenter Mannherz.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 at ten a. m. at the Bemiss United Methodist Church with Reverend Roger Mays officiating. Burial will follow in McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
