Ubie Beck Lineberger

Ubie Beck Lineberger, 91, of Valdosta died Friday, September 24, 2010 at Heritage Healthcare at Lakehaven. She was born in Carrollton on February 16, 1919 to the late Jefferson Glover and Ollie Burt Beck and had lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Lineberger was a member of the Airport Church of Christ and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed being with people. Mrs. Lineberger loved planting, growing flowers and selling Christmas trees with her husband.

Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Judy and Mackey Allen of Mineral Wells, TX., Carol and Chris Prine of Valdosta, two granddaughters, Geri Burgess of Southside, Ala., Christy Prine Hamilton and her husband, Herb Hamilton of Lake Park, two great granddaughters, Sammye Caroline Hamilton and Maggie Jo Hamilton, two sisters and brothers in law, Lucille and Hilton Allen of Naylor, June and Thomas Simpson of Valdosta, sister in law, Pearl Collins of Valdosta, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, R. T. Lineberger, sisters, Ethel Barker DeVane and Daisy Copeland, three brothers and sisters in law, Curtis Beck, Ivey Beck, Paul and Vannah Beck.

Funeral services will be held at 4pm, Sunday, September 26, 2010 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home with Mr. Bryan Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow in Dasher Cemetery.
