Trampus John Bailey, 29, of Hahira, died Wednesday, September 2, 2009. He was born on August 12, 1980. Trampus was a carpenter, property manager of Hahira Contractors and Tricon Development, was a firefighter with the Hahira Fire Department, was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, graduated from Lowndes High School in 1999 and Valdosta Technical College in 2003.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Marie Bailey, one son, Joseph James Bailey, father, John Bailey, mother and step father, Joyce and Jimmy Lusk all of Hahira, one sister, Penny Bailey Lusk of Valdosta and her fiancé, Joe Walden of Richmond Hill, GA, paternal grandmother, Ophelia Bailey of Hahira, maternal grandmother, Helen Lott of Omega, GA and mother in law and father in law, Jim and Gale Futch of Valdosta. Trampus is preceded in death by his grandfathers, C. L. (Jack) Bailey and Raymond Lott.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 5, 2009 at two p. m. at the Martin McLane Funeral Home in Hahira with Reverend Ken Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Wilkes Community Cemetery in Cook County. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Hahira Fire Department. The family will receive friends from six until eight p. m. Friday at the funeral home.
