Toy Bryant, 59, of Valdosta, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at South Georgia Medical Center.
He was born May 14, 1953 in Pavo, a son of the late Austin L. and Emma Lou Welch Bryant. Toy was a member of Faith Assembly of God. He loved to play the guitar in his younger days, and he enjoyed country music, especially Buck Owens.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Bryant of Valdosta; sister, Betty Jean Joyce of Valdosta; sister and brother-in-law, Katie and Ronnie Burch of Hazelhurst; brother, Larry Bryant of Lake Park; twin sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Jerry McCann of Valdosta; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Austin Bryant.
The Funeral Service for Mr. Bryant will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at the Chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Sirmans officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery, Moultrie. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Carson McLane Funeral Home.
