Tootsie Allen Grant

Conneal "Tootsie" Allen Grant, 77, of Naylor died Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 18, 1934 in Naylor to the late Benjamin Brooks and Flonnie Dell Stone Allen and was a lifelong resident of Naylor. Mrs. Grant was retired from the Naylor Post Office and had worked at Southern Bell Telephone Company as an operator. She enjoyed her grandchildren and painting. Mrs. Grant was a member of the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Cliff and Cindy Grant, Chris and Gary Wayne Mullis all of Withers, Shay Grant, Shellie and Dave Buckley all of Naylor, 11-grandchildren, Caleb Grant, Candace Grant, Josh Mullis, Zach Mullis, Chason Grant, Lacey Nickelson, Catlin Grant, Whitney Crawford, Haley Crawford, D. J. Buckley and Morgan Buckley, 6-great grandchildren, Brooks Grant, Reed Grant, Allie Thorne, Lance Mullis, Analee Mullis and Grayer Grant, two sisters, Voncile Carter of Naylor and Linda Parrott of Quitman, two brothers, Ronald Allen of Naylor and Randy Allen of Moultrie, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. (Bobby) Grant.

Funeral services will be held at 2pm, Saturday, March 5, 2011 at the Wayfare Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Dwight Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayfare Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
