Tony Morley, 70, of Valdosta, Georgia died Thursday, March 3, 2011 at South Georgia Medical Center. He was born on June 15, 1940 in Hove, England to the late Herbert Benjamin and Stella Irene Kensley Morley. Mr. Morley was an aeronautical engineer with Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach, Florida for seventeen years and had served as a consultant for many other major aircraft manufacturers around the world. In his retirement he worked with his son- in-law, Avery Walden of Southern Allied Contractors in Hahira, Georgia. Mr. Morley was a former active member of the Vero Beach Theatre Guild and attended the First Christian Church in Valdosta. He was a loving father and grandfather that loved history and jazz music.
Survivors include his partner, JoAnn Ayers of Albany, two daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Avery Walden of Hahira, Joanna and Thad Knowles of Stuart, Fla., four grandchildren, Ethan Walden, Jacob Walden, Maia Knowles and Sebastian Knowles, one brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Carol Morley of Hove, Sussex, England and the mother of his daughters, Sarah Morley of Vero Beach, Florida.
