Tommy Edwin Corbett, 57 of Jennings, died on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at his residence. Born on August 22, 1949 in Valdosta, he was the son of Lois Culpepper Corbett of Lake Park and the late Bryant Corbett. Mr. Corbett was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved farming. He enjoyed traveling, quail hunting and fishing with his grandchildren.
Survivors are his wife, Sharon Corbett of 39 years; daughters and sons-in-law, Shannan and Brahm Kellerman, Tammy and Ed Tudor all of Lake Park, Cathy Jo Corbett, Lee and Gregg Brown all of Jennings; grandchildren, Kelsi, Kayla and Levi Herring, Courtney Brown, Emma Grace Tudor, Tanner Brown; step-granddaughter, Amanda Tudor; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bobby and Polly Corbett of Lake Park, Randall and Margaret Corbett of Jasper; sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Marcus Zipperer of Lake Park and mother-in-law, Gertrude Gunton of Canada. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Stan Herring.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 in the McLane Lakewood Chapel with Reverend Mickey Corbett officiating. Burial will follow in Carter Cemetery.
