Tisha Lena Barker

Tisha Lena Barker, 78, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024. She was born as one of eight children to the late William Kennedy and Agnes Corinne Pittman in Patterson, Georgia. Tisha was cherished for her loving spirit and caring demeanor. She was often described as a firecracker. She found joy in spending time with her family and her cherished dog, Coco, and had a deep passion for her bartending career in the Valdosta area, retiring from The Hanger. Tisha's love for the beach was evident, reflecting her free-spirited nature.

Tisha is survived by her daughter, Lorrie Saliba-Horne, and granddaughter, Samantha Horne, both of Barwick, GA, as well as three brothers: Ronnie Kennedy of Coolidge, GA; Eugene Kennedy of Riverview, FL; and Chris Kennedy of Moultrie, GA and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her son, Brian Ray Saliba, her husbands, Johnie L. Barker and Sammy Ray Saliba, and her siblings Aaron, Bobby, Margie, and Bill Kennedy.

A funeral service will be held for Tisha on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 11 am at Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel, followed by burial at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Carson McLane Funeral Home Chapel. Condolences to the family can be conveyed online at www.mclanecares.com.
