Timothy Lane Smothers, 31, of Quitman, died on March 2, 2018. He was born in Arcadia, Florida on August 9, 1986 to Timothy Smothers and Robin Roberts Smothers. He was employed with Dewitt’s Produce in Morven as a fork lift driver.
Survivors include his father, Timothy Smothers of Morven; his mother, Robin Smothers of Georgia; his brother, Kenneth Smothers of Valdosta; grandparents, Paul and Christine Smothers of Brooks County; aunts, Connie Smothers and Shebia Smothers both of Brooks County; two uncles and aunts, Tony and Cheryl Smothers of Brooks County and Douglas and Virginia Smothers of Florida; an aunt, Tina DeVane of Florida.
Services for Timothy Lane Smothers will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Gupton officiating. The burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery in Quitman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
