Timothy David Green, 57, Seffner, FL went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, after a short battle with cancer.
Tim was born March 29, 1962, in Monahans, Texas. His dad was in the Air Force so his family lived in many different states and overseas. He had been in the ministry 31 years serving in different capacities: Minister of Music, Minister of Education, Youth Pastor and Pastor to Senior Adults.
Tim graduated from Lowndes High School, Valdosta, GA, then went to Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Al, where he received a Bachelors in Christian Education. He sang with a group called Promise touring the US and Canada. He then went to Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, Memphis, TN, and received a Master’s in Christian Education. He sang with the Florida Worship Choir and Orchestra including Carnegie Hall, the Brooklyn Tabernacle and in a flash mob in Times Square.
He was employed by HealthPlan Services, a Wipro Company as a Learning Facilitator/Trainer and really enjoyed working with his team and the company. He was also working with the Senior Ministry at Countryside Baptist Church.
He loved dogs, hunting, and cooking.
He is survived by one daughter, Kelly Grace, 7; his mother, Jean C. Green, Valdosta, GA; one sister, Terry (Bill) Tidwell, Valdosta, GA; three nieces, Heather (Kyle) Linville, Mason, OH, Jennifer (Dusty) Sirmans, Valdosta, GA, and Amanda McKinney, Milledgeville, GA; one nephew, Stephen (Maggie) Tidwell, Pinehurst, NC, several nieces and nephews, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends. He is preceded in death by his father George E. Green.
Family visitation will be at 1:30 pm, on Monday, April 22 at Countryside Baptist Church, Dover, FL, followed by open visitation at 2:00 pm with the service at 3:00 pm. Pastor Rob Coram and Pastor Dave Montalbano will be officiating. Graveside services will be at the Lebanon Cemetery, Pavo, GA, on Tuesday, April 23 at 2:00 pm. Serving as pallbearers will be Bobby, Austin and Zackary Chancey, Gary Coberly, Donnie Maxwell, Bill Tidwell, Jim Iverson, and Maurice Taylor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Tim, may be made to the Senior Ministry at Countryside Baptist Church, 13422 Sydney Road, Dover, FL 33527.
