Tiera Mae Ganas

Tiera Mae Ganas, 92, of Valdosta, died on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Lakehaven. Born in New Lois, Berrien County, Georgia, on January 23, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Livingston Parrish and Mamie Heape Parrish. Mrs. Ganas retired from Levi’s where she worked for 32 years as a seamstress. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church. An excellent gardener, she loved to crochet and knit.
Mrs. Ganas is survived by son and daughter in law, Jerry and Harriett Ganas of Valdosta, son, Mike Ganas of DeBerry, Florida; grandson, Chris and Kim Ganas of Texas; great grandchildren, Jacob and Ashley Ganas of Savannah, and Kirsten Ganas; several great great grandchildren; and a brother, Edgar Parrish of Lakeland. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Austin Ganas.
Services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Mr. Wesley Harrell and Mr. Ernie Jones will officiate. Entombment will take place following the service at the mausoleum at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens.
