Thomas Vernon Haddock, 91, of Valdosta, died at his home on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Born in Suwannee County, Live Oak, Florida on December 23, 1918, he was the son of the late Eldon Castine Haddock and Mary Cecilia Larkin Haddock. Mr. Haddock was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a Maintenance Supervisor for Dowling Bag Company for 38 years, a member of Morningside Baptist Church and the Senior Citizens Community Center.
Survivors are his sons and daughters in law, Thomas Austin and Theresa Haddock of Rocky Face, Frank C. Haddock, Milton P. and Sue Haddock and William A. and Lani Haddock all of Valdosta; daughters and sons in law, Cecilia and Richard Croft of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Cheryl and Ronald Mayer of Niceville, Florida; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Ann Kline of Brooksville, Florida, a brother, Eldon Haddock, Jr. of Panama City, Florida. Mr. Haddock was preceded in death by his wife, Undine, daughter, Jonita Shaw and sister Virginia Burg.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home. Reverend Gary Folds will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 � 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Langdale Hospice House or to the Senior Citizens Community Center @ 1360 E.
