Thomas Preston Mcdade

Thomas Preston McDade, 73 of Valdosta, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at a local nursing home. Born on June 20, 1931 in Tyrone, NC, he was the son of the late John and Agnes McDade. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Agnes Dorch McDade of Valdosta; daughter, Susan McDade of Tyrone, NC; two stepchildren and their spouses, Pat and Ron Thompson, Jerry and Faye Dorch all of Valdosta; 13 step grandchildren and 2 great step grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Kenneth Burlles of Tyrone, NC; three brothers, Bill McDade of Brunswick, Clifford McDade of Tyrone, Chambers McDade of South Carolina; four sisters-in-law, Susie Dowling, Louise Johnson, Marie Turner all of Valdosta, Hazel McDade of Tyrone, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2005 in the chapel of the Carson McLane Funeral Home with Pastor Mickey Wisehart officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.
